Sangeeta K. Murthy

Sangeeta K. Murthy was born in 1965. As a school girl she developed an interest in drawing and painting and won various prizes at the school and college level. She is a graduate in Arts from Delhi University.

Sangeeta K. Murthy has exhibited her works in two Solo Shows and very many group shows. She has been part of Art related shows on various TV Channels. She has illustrated the cover of 2 famous books.

Sangeeta K. Murthy has participated in various art camps. She is associated with the Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi OISCA International from the past few years. She has won the Kala Ratna Samman and other awards. Her works hang on the walls of many prestigious and renowned public and private collections.

Being the daughter of a serving officer with the Indian Air Force Sangeeta K. Murthy has travelled the length and breadth of the country. This enriching and culturally rich experience exploring the natural beauties and the culturally diverse population of India has been the main inspiration for her art.
